Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has the potential to be an affordable housing rock-star.  In response to the June AJC three-part series “Dangerous Dwellings” he has organized a City of Atlanta Housing Strike force to address dangerous, marginalized, unsafe apartment communities in Atlanta.  There are over 200 properties on the list including this neglected eyesore in Southwest Atlanta.  I have been trying to get site control of this 220-unit property since 2016 and have watched as it flipped from spectator to spectator with the only goal to sell to the next buyer for $$$ millions in profit.  This property in 2016 could have been renovated to provide safe, decent housing for 220-families but today it is too far gone.  Capitalism at its finest in neighborhoods across America.
